The owner of one of my favorite Chinese restaurants asked me if I had dogs, and where I got them.
Odd. I told him that we had a couple of Shepherd / Rottweiler mixes that we picked up from a farm just south of town. We had found them through the newspaper.
He started talking in Chinese to his wife standing beside him, and then told me that they were interested in getting a pure breed. I swear he said it was because they had better tenderness. Maybe he said temperament.
Am I mistake or did the words, “chow mein” escape your lips? Tender or trainable … I couldn’t hear clearly.
