I’d love to blame the publishers of magazines like US, In Touch, People and Star for lousy sensationalist journalism, but ultimately I know it’s the people who buy these rags that are responsible. The formula is pretty simple. Write a story (doesn’t matter how crappy) and if the magazine sells lots of copies, then write a bunch more stories just as crappy as the first.
You might be wondering why I’m bringing this up? A couple weeks ago I was in the grocery line and saw the latest round of crap on the stands. What I saw was so absurd, I just had to snap a couple of pictures.
Four separate magazines all blathering on about some quarrel between Denise Richards and Heather Locklear. I didn’t even realize there was a whole Denise Richards vs. Heather Locklear love hate thing going on! Good thing they slathered it all over their magazines. I’d hate to be out of the know. At least they each got fair cover time.
Looks like “US” magazine is favoring Denise Richards. I’m so glad that “US” is willing to help set the record straight and tell me Denise’s side of the story.

Look, “In Touch” decided to declare war on behalf of Heather Locklear. Time to bring in the army of publicists and start counting the casualties.
